93'-high oil pressure

Could use a little help here. My 93 is starting to have high oil pressure while driving. It'll be almost all the way to right, to the last line while cruising. I did notice if I turn off my a/c it'll drop down a line. Yes I know I need a manual gauge but this is sorta a project truck so I'm slowly going at it. Not sure if this is part of it but it also takes about 5-8 seconds before I get any oil pressure when first started also has a pretty rough start 1 out of 10 starts after a 3-4 day sit

The delay in visible oil pressure via the dash gauge seems to be normal on a 1st gen diesel.

Your engine has oil pressure instantly once it's running. I believe many of your questions will be answered with a mechanical oil pressure gauge.

The hard to start could be fuel related. Likely fuel supply to the injectors.
