What's this line for?

Maybe a total dumb question, but what's this line for. It's on my 08 mega cab. It's a line that goes from the exhaust manifold to what looks like the thermostat housing. It's a metal line. Noticed it when I did my deletes. What is the purpose of the coolant line going into the manifold? Just a dumb question I know. Was wondering if I could just plug it off? Thanks

It's exhaust back pressure. No coolant running through. I believe it depends on who's tuning as if it's used or not. We always leave them intact as I've never asked any tuners if it's in play or not.

Don't unplug it unless you are 2G swapped or otherwise delete the VGT. That line is a pressure sensor that most importantly monitors back pressure when using the exhaust brake so that the engine doesn't blow up from the VGT constricting down too tight.

After a 2G swap, the line is trash and the port can just be left open since the sensor is ignored.
