Exhaust size?

Need a new exhaust on my truck, had 5" on it, but now I'm poor and the 4"seems to be about $100 less. Any negatives to a 4" vs a 5"? Truck is likely less than 500hp, I'm thinking 4" would be plenty. Used for DD and tow.

Yes, you could go down to 3" and not tell a difference.

Ok, I wasted a couple hrs trying to patch it this morning to no avail. Just going to get out the plastic for new! Spent the day with just the downpipe, kinda loud and annoying!

Got the new 4" on today, didn't notice any difference on the gauges or butt dyno. But, man does this thing seem super quiet now! Really surprised how quiet actually, still straight pipe.
