I try not to mess around I wanted it done as fast as possible. It also makes it faster when I've already built one previously and I bought a whole truck that ran and drove. He also gave me receipts for the new engine, injectors, turbo, built auto etc with the truck and other new parts such as sensors etc. That total up to 17,900 for everything. So if I do decide to sell this blue one it will fetch a pretty penny.

No it wouldn't have made a difference, you could easily 6 speed swap this truck, my original plans was to build a 6 speed short bed if I did again but I 6 speed swapped my 2011 so I didn't see the point and wanted an auto for another DD/strip truck for my fiancé. So at least she can race this one with ease. I also built it to learn how to tune myself without having to buy tunes constantly for all my stuff and I will make more money when I tune trucks for my customers with my own tunes as opposed to buying them

Badass man. I noticed on the 03 that your oil pressure gauge on the cluster doesn't work. I couldn't get mine to work either on my 12 valve in my 07 even after I changed the sensor over. Did you ever figure that out?

If you tap the cam sensor signal wire twice to ground oil pressure will work. But as soon as you rev it up oil pressure and the tach goes off. It wants to see a cam sensor signal to make it work. I tried using the oem crank sensor so it would give it a constant but it wants a correct signal. Haven't had the chance to mess with that part much.

Interesting. Yeah I haven't messed with mine either other than just changing the sensor thinking it was bad. I put a mechanical oil pressure gauge under the hood to make up for it but I'd like to get it working eventually. Especially since I put the diesel cluster in it with the actual numbers instead if just L and H.

I would like to also just cause its the only thing that doesn't work on that truck other than that everything works including ac/cruise control. I've considered getting an 03-04 common rail truck and swapping the wiring harness and ecm into it so everything works.

How did you get the cruise control to work? That something I really miss having.

I used a cruise control box and cable with the dodge style end on it from a 90s model chevy TBI motor, with the drac speed buffer, and wired it all in.

Does it work off of your cruise control buttons on the steering wheel or did you have to out a separate switch for it?

I never did look to see, but I assume the steering wheel switches are logic switches but they may not to be. I used separate switches, one on/off and the other is a 2 sided momentary, hold it one way is set/coast the other way is accel/resume

Oh okay. I'm going to try and do the same. My drivers seat is already like a cockpit but what's a few more switches at this point. Lol

Mine only has 3 besides the lockup and overdrive on the shifter. The blue truck only has one to enable launch control.
