L5P Low oil pressure.... HELP - Competition Diesel.Com

Hey everyone,

I am looking for some insight on an L5P low oil pressure issue I am dealing with.

Truck is a 2017 3500hd L5P, I am getting the low oil pressure warning on the dash. Monitoring oil pressure on scan tool I get the warning at roughly 12psi at idle at operating temp. Spec from GM is 7psi but I am still getting the warning even with the scan tool showing that everything in spec. The engine does have a thump that I can not track down. Mechanical oil pressure gauge shows that everything is within spec at idle and 1800rpm. Any insight on where to go from here or if anyone has experienced the same thing would be greatly appreciated.

What oil filter are you running?

Is it not under warranty anymore?
