Super B Special

Awhile back a buddy of mine had you rebuild a super b special off of his 24 valve. While it was there you change the compressor housing out with a race housing. Recently we pulled the charger off his truck and put it on my 12 valve, just wondering if that cover spools slower then the original? And what all the benifits would be.
Thanks
Chris
