wanting new turbo..have questions
Currently I have the HTT Spitfire 66mm and it spools great. But I'm wanting more power (imagine that lol) so I have been thinking of upgrading. I don't tow, I daily drive it, (12 miles one way) and play around on the weekends. Maybe sled pulling here and there. I've been looking towards an s471 or even an s475. Do you guys have any recommendations as to what you'd go with?
Thanks!
Jake

I'm with Carbon. Bigger than a 66 for a DD isn't a good idea. I ran a silver bullet 66 for a while in my truck. I loved the turbo and it did spool, but slowly. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to tow anything with it and have it in a DD. I know what you mean about the EGT's. You might try some bigger injectors to help cool it down. Playing with the programming some can help too. You should be seeing 50 to 55psi out of that turbo.

Jake can you send me over an email (chris@engineereddiesel.com)with some details about the truck. I see who's listed in your signature but not the combination you're running. In that email tell me how it runs now and more of what you are looking for from it after the changes. Anything you think will help us help you and we can get a plan together. Thanks Chris

It runs ok. But that could be the programming. I'm wanting it to run similar to my friends 06. Same setup as me only difference is 175 HP injectors over my 150s, he has a 68mm turbo, efi live, and a cam plus the gdp big rail kit. But his setup was around 700. I'm looking for a little more than that.
