It is time. I'd rather pay off my new truck than keep this thing around to use once or twice a year.

1979 Chevy C70
366 Gasoline
5 speed / 2 speed single axle
Anti-Lock Air Brakes, Aux Trailer Brakes and Spike Controler
Holmes 600, Twin Square Tube/Extendable Booms
Dual 8-ton winches
Both drums spooled 300' 9/16 cable
Forward and Rear manual winch controls on both sides of truck
Near MINT CONDITION
5619 ORIGINAL MILES
GARAGE KEPT until 2010. Chrome mirrors now showing some rust.
100% FUNCTIONAL; TOW READY
Dual fuel tanks, manual switchable
Interior is near spotless and fully intact!

Tow bar, rotating beacons, flashers, aux lights front and rear, snatch blocks, drop stabilizers in rear, outriggers on both sides, manual aim spotlights on a-pillars, air horn (deafening!), etc.etc.etc.

I have tons more pictures if there is any interest.

$15,500. That is basically getting the truck under the bed for free. :D

Why would you need a wrecker? LOL

I DON'T...that's why I'm selling it. :D

I inherited it from my father. I've had it for about 3 years now I think. I've used it several times but not enough to keep it.

So....5 total posts ^^^^^ and 4 of 5 are basically "free bumps"....I guess that is ok. LOL

You phookers bored today or what? I don't allow cows on my place anyway. They cost too much, I don't feed in the snow, and they never have calves on "my time"...it is always in the rain or sleet with a 40mph wind. NO! LOL

I'm assuming 2wd?

Correct, 2wd.

First three pics were years ago, the last pics were at the house night before last. It needs a little love from being out in the barn. The chrome on the mirrors is coming off and the rock chips are showing a little brown around them, but that is about all other than typical wear on things from use. The spools have 300' of 9/16 cable on them. It needs about 50-75 feet taken back off. It is too much and if it don't wind correctly, then it tries to bunch at the top. Either that or add some spring loaded cable levelers on it, that'd help too.

Yes. It is listed on tow411.net. I put it in the HOLMES section as well as the Pre-1990 Listings.

I do have a guy in KY that tells me "give me your bottom dollar and I might can make it work"...but I still think $15,500 is a great price. If it don't move, I'll hit him up with something.

What I mean about the mirrors.

If you want to swing the booms to the sides, drop the tow bar, unhook the cables, and just reach up and pull the dangly thing.....then swing them right and left. Put the outriggers out and pick up to the side.

Booms rated for 8K each retracted and 4K each fully extended. I'm quit certain ALL the manuals and diagrams for the bed and the truck are under the seat. You won't be lacking info.

Gooseneck hitch too if you want to raise the boom and haul a trailer. 2 5/16.

Umm... Can I ask why I didn't get to see this in the tour?

I should have used to distract you away from the boost leak and non-functional waste gate. :hehe:

I think your dad needs this for his business. It'd be a great "write-off" come April. :poke:

This thing would be awesome at car shows. If I had money to blow id be up there tomorrow jory.

With a week worth of cleanin' up and touchin' up paint chips and putting some new mirrors on an a little polish, it'd be ready. It is beautiful from a distance and still pretty clean up close. It just needs a tad of lovin' ........ very inexpensive lovin'. Just some elbow grease and time would have it pretty sweet. Some of the pen-stripping is comin' off too so either peel the rest off, or just stick some new on. Major stuff is Golden.

I'd be all in for car shows man! That thing is awesome. And I could load me and dads cars up on a gooseneck and still haul it and that would just have win written all over it.
