72 C10 Duramax Swap

Im going to be swapping the c10 body on the Duramax frame. Cutting around 16in out of the duramax frame, chopping the duramax dash to fit in the c10 cab, duramax seats ect. Essentially having a new truck with an old body.

My last winters diesel conversion I put a 7.3 powerstroke in a bronco, winter before that I converted a 6.0 to a 7.3, twin turbo 6bt in my f150, 4bt in my f100... anyway, diesel swaps are nothing new, onto the pics.

C10 I pickup up. Rust free, originally from North Dakota. Its got some worked 350 with blah blah blah this and that. The body is clean, and that's what I was after.

That will be a cool swap. It's a clean truck too. Don't know about the dash swap though, but we'll have to wait and see.
 
Pleeeease don't cut up an ac cab

Nice truck and cool swap! I'd cut up an A/C cab if I had too. LOL It's not like they're that much different that a guy can't convert one in a day. I've seen some guys install newer clusters in a factory opening with a custom bezel and they look really nice.

This is the only time Ive actually found money in a truck. Other than a few quarters I mean.... I got half the purchase price of the parts duramax back:hehe:

this will be a nice swap. Though I do second the post of not taking out the AC dash! I want some pictures of your other swaps!!
 
Very cool swap and kudos on the cash. I toyed with swapping a dmax in my '71 but it's going to end up with a lt1/ls1 t56 combo.
 
im impressed with the other two ford swaps

and a 7.3 in a bronco? id love to see more pics of all of those.. and your mechanical skills to do that? (specially the 7.3 in bronco) my respect
