smoke switch on 01

That must be banks Secret to no smoke. LOL LOL Switch off, no smoke. LOL

Pretty simple tech there.
All you have to do is run 5 volts to the map sensor.
I thought everyone knew that.

Wait a sec here, I can make that much smoke without a switch!!!! :bang

Truck must be broke, should I take it to the dealer to be looked at?? LOL LOL

so i have read alot about this smoke switch on these 2nd gena dn 3rd gens. but my question is will it work with out a fueling box.
does the box just do boost foolin? anyinfo appreciated thanks

I have one wired up, will get videos up soon. Basically, it takes the power wire for the map sensor and puts it right over into the signal wire to the ecm, thus, the ecm thinks it is seeing like 30psi of boost at 0 psi of boost, therefore more fuel down low. I wired mine up with speaker wire because it is allready two wires together, fully insulated, and I have a nice switch on the dash for it. Fortunately, a more stable fuel system.... lol.

I heard it adds another 10hp on the bottom end, and some torque. Sometimes I think it makes the turbo lag more... if that makes sense.

R-E-D-N-E-C-K. :hehe: I love it. I loved it more back when I was into smoke, but now I've grown up. :D

I've heard of this before, but never cared to do it, but I was wondering if this has any damaging effects. I would guess no, unless you over-used it. I'm guessing it's just wasting a lot more fuel.

You can get the same effect by unplugging the MAP sensor plug on a comp.

It will fuel based on pedal position rather than boost.

Your going to want to wire the switch up to connect the 5v and the signal wire together:

Anyone know what colors on a 99"???? Wanna do this!

I'm assuming the colors are the same as an '01. You can hold Ctrl key and hit the "+" key to zoom in on this picture to read it better.
