DDP 90's went in and now have a rattle, need advice

BSwope

I need help!!
Long story short got the DDP 90's in and now im having this rattle issue going on!
When my truck is cold it run so quiet, smooth and feels AWESOME, when the truck starts to get up to operating temps it starts this rattle on the bottom end and goes away once my RPM's reach 2k or boost hits 5psi or so and to me the truck dosent feel as strong.... Sounds just like timing rattle but only on the bottom end I just cant think what could be going on cause it dosent do it when the truck is cold only once it starts to get some heat in it.
Im running the Smarty TNT-R on SW 8, timing 4, TM 0, RP 0, and have tried different settings but nothing seems to help!
Anyone ever have this issue before or something similar??

Hey Buddy, my friend has a 06 and his did the same thing as your talking about after ddp 120's and i seen a few people talking about the same rattle issues on compD.

drop the timing

You mean to default and use even #'d SW's right? I know dumb question.....LOL

With the TNT software, as long as you set the timing it should not matter weather you choose a odd or even number SW. However some have reported better results on the even SW.

The only way to turn the timing off is too set it to default and run even #'d SW's. Gonna try it and see what happens....

GET OFF the computer and get to work Lee! :lolly:

Get used to it!! It's there to stay!!

Been an issue for a LONG time with some trucks.. Mines had it through 3 different motors!!

EFI live may be about he the only thing ( or standalone ) that may get rid of it.....But until then, just drive it and have fun....

Try turning the radio up a bit... LOL

I never could get it to go away with my Smarty. Even the SSR couldn't take it out. Only thing that made it even just a tiny bit better was my PPE Hot+2 Lite timing box... But it can still be heard a good bit with it also.

EFI is the only hope..

But its not supposed to hurt anything, just being annoying.
