what was then ship time frame?

when i was in guam it to ~6day to get to me from ohio..
aunts and friend would bake cookies and home made bread, bannana nut pummkin etc ceran wrap it and ship it that day.. had 2-3 day to eat it before it went bad.. estentially had 10-11 days after it was made before it went moldy..

its wasnt same day fresh but ten time better then any thing close to it..

been years since i filled out customs paper.. iirc it was either misc stuff or gifts

Updated Wish List Items:
Food:
Cup O’ Noodles – Beef, Roast Beef, Chicken or Roast Chicken flavors
Raman Noodles – Beef, Roast Beef, Chicken or Roast Chicken flavors
Easy Mac, shells and cheese, stuff like that, (Anything that you can add hot water to and have something that isnt mystery meat.)
Beef Jerky – Peppered, Teriyaki or Hot and Spicy – Basically anything other than original
Slim Jims (dont contain pork, it is beef, and mechanicly seperated chicken)
Easy Cheese
Fiber One Bars (Everything Out Here Stops you up)
Hot Sauce
Buffalo Wing Sauce (Anything that you can put on crappy food to make it better)
Heck, Steal a few extra Taco Bell Sauce packets, im not really picky, I share all of my stuff with my platoon anyway.
Hard Candy
Kool-Aid powder
Gatorade powder
Coffee Accessories/Hot Chocolate (It is Startng to be cold in the morning.)

Other items:
Books, Magazines, Newspapers, anything to read that you dont want
White Socks
Soap, Shampoo.
Speed Stick Deodorant or another cheap brand (the cheap brands do not melt, however the brands like Axe do)



Avoid sending anything chocolate until after October when it starts cooling down.

As far as things you cannot send:
anything in aerosol cans
pork products
fresh fruits and vegetables
Porn (Send it anyway, just dont write Porn on the customs form)


And if you really want to help me out:

Send High Temp Silicone, JB Weld, Zip Ties, teflon tape ,Bailing wire, and anything else you can think of that would help you out to fix your truck in a pinch, will help me be able to help me fix my tank in a pinch...

I am not asking anyone to go out and clear the shelves of their local walmart of this stuff, but if you have a half used whatever that you never use... think about sending it my way...


Any other questions, just ask. I have 16 other guys in my platoon, and if you like it, chances are at least one of them will too...

I had an Afghan (one of the very few who actually speaks decent english) tell me that it was because pigs are unclean because they don't have sex with just one other pig. But yet they eat chicken, beef, lamb... last time I checked they don't either. Maybe they just control the other animals or something. Made no sense to me then, still doesn't make sense to me now.

Just shipped about 100 "Diesel Power", Diesel World", and a couple other diesel mags to you today. Post office said it'll probably take about a month to get there though. :p

I'm gonna go to the store this weekend and pick up some local stuff in a box that's just add water like red beans and rice, jambalya, etc... :D
