used to feel it taking off from lights and thought it was the converter.feels like a shuttering or vibrating . now the converter is new (triple disc and fresh trans) and still does it the same and i notice while pulling a load (26000lbs) my guy cruising at about 1500-1600 and i can feel it .almost feels like when your in 6th and should be in 4th . soon as i drop a gear and get it into the 2000 rpm range seems alright . could it be a bad injector or mulitple?

kind of off topic, but have you checked your carrier bearing?

in the rear? it isn't that kind of feeling . feels like a vibrating shutter .i used to think it was the tc chattering but guess not . maybe if its a center bearing in the driveshaft flexing . i remember them old cv drive shafts had like center bearings and it mounter in a rubber bracket ,some spring loaded . idk mabe its a miss ,but clears up as the load is releaved ?

Not saying its not injectors but if the shutter comes as you let off the throttle i would check ujoints in the drive shaft. for sure if it goes away somewhat under throttle.

no it seems to come if i excelerate if i roll of a little it seems fine ,but no noises what so ever .

My buddy's 6.0 does the same thing. Hard accl it makes a shutter I can feel through the floor board. I was guessing torque converter too but youve already replaced that

damn finally somebody who's experianced it ! i was thinking it might be this torque limiter people are talkin about .

I would say check all your ujoints. I know it sounds crazy but since you have a new converter this is a quick check and really pretty cheap to repair if it is. I just had one go out in my 06 and it would shutter under acceleration especially from low speeds and it would go away once I got to highway speeds. I would definitely check just to be sure before I would go replacing any injectors!

Had the same thing on my MC. Replaced the rear driveline with a 1-piece and all shudders and vibes at launch went away.

had this problem for years. shudder as soon as you take off then it clears right up.

last year i went with a mega cab driveshaft and got rid of the 2 piece with the carrier, smooth as glass ever since.

so did the mega cab ds fit right in with no mods ? if so lmk what yr ?

yes, just rip the carrier out and slide it in.

if you have a long wheel base that is,
the PN is one of these, i will have to crawl under my truck later to confirm.

Yep mine was shuttering the same. Removed the two piece drive shaft and installed a new one piece aluminum and all my vibes went away. Truck is so much smother now.

I have the 52123220AB part number. It is for the automatic. The manuel tranny gets a little harder to decide. I beleive it depends which manual you have. Just googls one piece drive shaft with your truck info and should all come up. Also have heard good things about these guys Doghouse Diesel Performance they make custom ones.

ok so we're all in agreement that a #52123220ab is a bolt in replacement for a 06 slt 2wd auto i think the dealer told me the number updated to a

Here is where i got mine.

Mopar 52123161AB DRIVE SHAFT

But mine is also a 4wd. These guys are usually pretty good at getting the right one for your truck aswell.

I screwed up in the post before for the part number that i put into my truck. Sorry about that. And is your truck a long bed or short and a regular cab or quad cab?
