New Cummins built 2-stroke

3 cylinders, 6 pistons? Whatever it is, I like it.

On a side note, do they still use the VT903 today?

God help our ears.

Will it sound like a Detroit?

Can't get excited without some specs... New, doesn't always equal powerful and reliable.
But it is interesting, to say the least.

I didn't even think about it not having a head. This thing keeps looking better and better.

It seems like every couple of years someone comes out with a design like this and it never goes anywhere

I wouldn't say those are comparable to this. In fact the large cargo ship engines are usually 2 stroke

The new engine in question here, is a two stroke.

Ok?

I'm talking about a different engine design. They've really been coming out of the woodwork ever since oil prices went up in the mid 2000s.

Commer in Great Britain made those in 60s for light trucks. Dont know if it was success or not, none of the british trucks were up to continental Europe trucks.

Just saw a news article and apparently this engine could in the new Ford F-150. Insta-boner.
