10 second 1st gen

Here’s something that gives some perspective to this ridiculous discussion.
To go from 425rwhp to 600rwhp (power that actually is being utilized) is the same % increase as going from 1,200rwhp to 1,675 rwhp.
I’m sure everyone on here thinks that is easy to do.......:umno:

On a stock fuel injector, lift pump, injectors and studs

Im meth dumb, please explain, How much meth do you need to push to take advantage of using nitrous?? Plus this is happening at 20+* of base timing on top of the mighty VE’s timing!?!? On a stock head gasket and head bolts?

I'm not sure how much you need, the people I know were running 50-70 percent through two 625 nozzles, with nitrous and total timing around 25 degrees. I've never liked the idea of injecting fuel into the intake tract, but it does seem to help the little ol VE's out. I had it on my 1st gen too, but never used it with the nitrous.

My big pump advances to 32* plus whatever I decided to set my base timing at. W/M at that much timing sounds scary to me but I’d like to know more. I have a high pressure pump laying around somewhere in my pile-O-parr’s.

I forget, don't you have a 14mm or didn't you used to run one?

I don't know if w/m can detonate or not but it can definitely do something funky. This video always scared me.....

Too much timing - YouTube

I haven’t seen that video in years! Thanks for the reminder....

I’ll research best I can about the meth and silly gas and see what I can come up with.

Yes I have a 14 or two laying around and quite a few 12’s. Time and money.

Grab some time or money and get stuff goin'! You drag race? Or more sled puller guy?

I remember talking to Piers about getting more power from my VE. He told me not to go that route so I bought the 24V from Willyslover and struggled through the p-pump conversion with lots of help from Nowell. Watching Stomp mess with his made me glad I switched.

There are some names from the past. I bought my first "big" turbo from Nowell (a B1) after I bought my Stoopid pump from Piers.

Nowell and Gary(willyslover) came over to my shop one day and I felt like a little kid(Both very big guys).

You guys would never listen to reason.

At some point ya just got to do the best with what you have, or else we'd all have 9 second daily driver sled pulling common rails.

Honestly one of the biggest regrets with my 89 is that I didn't go further with the 12mm setup. It'll be cool to see what a maxed out 12 with a bunch of timing and nitrous will do in a light truck, 10s or not.
