Was just watching Banks Youtube where he made 1000 hp with 8085 Precision. In the video it says Precision recommends max shaft rpm to be 125k , meaning with 108mm compressor exducer that makes over 700 meters per second tip speed. Is that why they have a reputation to explode ?

GT50 , thrust bearing was OK, nothing went throught turbine, EGT at safe levels.

BW 96/88 turbine housings are A/R 1.15 , 1.32 , 1.45 and 1.58 , are they comparable to Holset 97/86 turbine housings A 27 , 32 , 36 and 40 in flow capability ? And what are comparable Garrett GT 47 housings ?

Are there more than one turbine wheel option for these and how many different housings they have ?

What is max "safe" tipspeed for todays billet compressor wheels ? From BW compressor maps highest I found was 607 m/s. Read somewhere that 80s turbo Formula 1 engines had about 640 m/s , back then they were running about 6:1 pressure ratios.

Is there no one making upgraded bearings for those journal bearing Garretts ? They dont seem to last very long even at moderate boost pressures.

Looking for around 35-40 psi actuators, found 35 psi from Kinugawa and Turbosmart, 40 psi from Turbosmart and aFE that looks like Kinugawa. Any experience of these ?
