Alright
So I just sold my compound turboed 97 Dodge 12 valve tonight.
I've been wanting to get into something newer nicer and more comfortable for a while.
I have the opportunity to pick up an 03 chevy 4x4 extra cab long bed with 90,000 miles on it.
It's my moms truck and shes the original...
So at 185k my truck was bone stock. i pulled the plate and timed it to 21*
boom 1st drive down the street come back and coolant pissing from passenger #4 area. At this time i installed the standard ARP studs and a .020 over gasket.
it held up for about 15k miles.
today it started pissing...
These were built by Lee (contagious diesel)
5x.014 SAC nozzles
they have less than 10k miles on them.
I just had the pops checked and they were all at 290bar (no run time since pop test)
New they are $550 (and probably not in stock)
I'd like to get $450 for mine ( and they're ready to ship...
So I know I've heard this a few times, but will a thicker type of trans fluid "tighten up" your torque converter.
I've heard of people using things like Universal Tractor Fluid and such and claiming it dropped a couple hundred rpm's off their stall speed.
Any of you guys experiment with this...
Ok so I pulled the super B special, and I'm going to start working on my twin set-up.
For the first time around I'm going to use my HX35 over most likely a Ht3b, S472, or S475 (havent decided yet) but most likely it will be whatever I get a deal on. That and I still need to do a little research...
So I just recently got a BD super B special turbo.
My initial impression is that it spools slightly slower than i'd like but it seems like it really comes to life hard once it lites.
This past weekend was my first time towing with it....
and probably my last. it required too much effort to keep...
