Im looking into a mechanical boost controller from Heath Diesel and also a vacuum pump elimination belt. When installing these items are there any catches I should be aware of?

I recently bought a 97 Chev 6.5L Dually. I am wondering what transmission do I have and can I install a torque converter lock-up switch on this truck? Any input is welcome as I am not very familiar with these 6.5s. Will post pics when soon. Thanks alot
