The truck is a 05 gmc has 221k miles on it.. my question is i was told that they start havin bottom end problems around 220k miles . Is there any truth to this? Anything else i need to look at? Thanks Scooter

I have never pulled in a sanctioned event so I really dont know.I dont want anybody to get there undys in a bunch if it aint legal. Just some opinions and solutions to make it legal if its not. I built it and I am not a fabricator by any means.

I took my truck out for the first drive today with the new motor and all the valve covers dont seal.They are not setting on the head on the stud side. Has any one had problems with 14mm headstuds not letting the valve cover seal. Are the valve covers thick enough to grind out for the stud.
