A buddy of mine is looking at buying a 7050 just for farming not pulling. Is there any issues with these tractors that he should know about or look out for?

Looking to replace the stock vgt turbo wondering what you guys recommend. Also has a pdi stage 1 ecm tune.

replaced my fpr in november just had it fail again last week. the truck will still surge a lil when you let up off the throttle but then smothes out and idles fine. anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this and why the fpr didnt last very long?
