01 auto tranny to 97

would i need anything special to put an 01 auto trans into my 97 dodge with auto trans. wasnt sure if these trannys had any differences.

i think they are both the 47re, i know it will bolt up without a problem but you might want to check and make sure the vbs are the same and hook up the same to the computer that controls the shifts

ok. i will look at it. thank you. my main concern was if it would communicate or not

Electronic on the VB are different. Change the gov pressure sensor and harness. Also the TV spring is different.
