'01 f350 Front axle problem

[7.3 canuck]

Started to experience some pulling in steering wheel. Sometimes after a turn when straightening out the wheel, big pulling to the left or right. Then suddenly the front end does a jump and truck straightens out. Checked hubs, they were unlocked. With the truck idling had someone turn steering to visually inspect steering underneath. What was happening was both of the wheel joints after reaching half way of a turn of the wheels, they were binding and then suddenly they would jump and continue to turn. I lifted the truck up and spinning the tires they were ok until I lock the front and put in 4 low or 4 high. The front right does not want to turn, only the front left and both rears spin.
Please help, its my daily driver...
