Forgive me for not knowing the engine generations vs model year.
My boss has just purchased an 03 4x4 cc swb with an allison and on monday,found his truck with no batteries left. He probed around found what appears to be a single 0 gauge wire from the power distibution unit feeding a relay at the rear of the drivers side valve cover. He had heard that the relay for the "glow plugs" (because i'm not aware of their existance) could the the culprit. So, I suggested that he simply unhook the wire and try the truck the next morning.
This morning, the truck started flawlessly and he reported back to me with this.
So, is this what we think it is, under what conditions does it normally function, and what to I check to see if it is a control to the relay, or the armature in the relay itself that is defective?
