12V stock intercooler

When do these intercoolers become a restriction? I know even a stock truck can benefit from a better one, but how much can these handle before they are putting a real damper on hp output?

Ive heard over 600hp its time for a better one.

It needs to be replaced usually about the time it cracks where the tubes are welded to the tanks.
