Plans so far:

linked and bagged.
31"-33" tires on 16" wheels.
Custom hydraulic tilt and slide deck. Possibly constructed of aluminum
Dana 60 front and dana 70 rear with Posi. 4.10 gears
Full Engine overhaul
Fully built 47RE with triple disc converter, billet input, ect.
Compound turbos, HX35 over S475.
5x16 injectors.
Maxed and Balanced pump.
All AFC mods.

Goals are a good 500hp/1000ftlb+ that would make this a reliable hauling rig.

I'm sure there are ALOT of little things I am forgetting. But stay tuned for updates.

Looks sweet! And you don't need a fully built transmission for that amount of power. The intermediate and output should be just fine.

Yea, I guess fully built might not be the correct terminology. lol Just planning on billet input, not intermediate or output. The ect was more or less referring to the other common parts upgraded. Servos, strut, anchor, apply lever, accumulators, ect.

I have had my eye on a '56/'57 truck that's been sitting in a shed for 30 years to do the same thing. Not the car hauler, just a flat bed. I'm thinking find a 4x4 12V dually or C&C and sit the body on it.

Got the 54 torn down. Sectioned the frame right in front of and behind the cab. Going to be able to lay frame, AND be 4wd. I'm pretty excited about this.

Front frame horns are all mocked and tacked up.

Anyone got a lead on some decently priced bags that can support at least 4500# each? We'll probably just use Airlift Dominator 2600 bags on the front.

That truck needs a stick, would fit in the theme perfect. Also an old school wedge bed but out of aluminum with a bad ass hydraulic wench and some kind of hydraulic ramps. Cool build!!

W01-358-5770 Firestone 9" bag 4600lb@100psi (what kelderman use on their 4link suspension)
W01-358-9387 Firestone 9" bag 5900lbs@100psi(what's ride well uses for 12k air ride

Can't wait to see the finished execution of laying frame and 4x4. Looks great!

Do you plan to adapt the original wheels to the dodge axles? That detail would be awesome.
