1995 nv4500 transmission

Ok so i picked up a 95 4x4 chevy 6.5 with a manual trans, the truck was built 6-95, from my research, this is a one year only trans, different bolt pattern to belhousing than later year chevy and dodge, is this true?

Really don't think so, no.

I know 93 was a one year only trans, but that was because it had a different first gear ratio in it. You could still swap the later model units into it though.

from what i found 93-94 are the same, 95?, and 96 and newer are similar with dodge.

Another question, does the 6.5 have the same bellhousing as any other gm motors, like the 454 or 350?

6.2/6.5 shares the same bell pattern as all v8 chevy's. Different flywheel pattern though.

Not all of them were different. The one piece rear main seal 6.2's(about 87 or so on) use the same flywheels as the 6.5's.
