2-3 shift issues

truck seems to hesitate when shifting 2-3, all other shifts are fine. Trans was built 3k miles ago, and this is my only issue...any suggestions?

Have you adjusted the second gear band? That's the first step, then you can look at a servo or vb issue.

no id didnt get adjusted yet, thats one you have to drop the pan to do?

No, the 2nd gear band can be set without but you'll need a inch lb torque wrench. The set screw is on the drivers side of the Trans, loosen the 3/4" lock nut then torque the band to 72 in. Lbs then back it off 2 1/4 turn. Some time setting it a hair looser or tighter will eliminate a hesitation issue...

I agree with Finch just keep an eye on the torque screw if it goes to far into the trans you may have wiped out the band. It should be about a 1/2" past the lock nut. 1/4 or less shows wear on the band!
