2003 2500 White Smoking

A friend of mine has a 2003 Government Motor Corporation 2500.

This morning she cranked it and moved it out of her driveway and all was fine. A few minutes later though while it was sitting in park it started popping and snapping and white smoke billowed out the exhaust enough that she couldn't see the truck.

She put it in drive to get the truck back in the driveway and it started clearing up. She decided to drive it and it was cleared up by the time she got to the end of the road and has been fine since.

Any ideas what it could be? Truck drives fine other than a slight shudder/miss when you let off the pedal sometimes.

Injectors most likely. Pull the dipstick and see if there is fuel in the oil. Also check balance rates if you can.

Just the amount of smoke described makes me wonder if it was ****ty fuel....

Though i guess balance rates and what the smoke smells like would be the first two things to check.

Just pull the dipstick and let a couple drops of oil drip onto a piece of paper. rings=fuel in your oil.

Well oil smells fine and no rings.
