2003 VW TDI Jetta $6500

Do a search over on TDIclub about it, there are some epic threads with a huge amount of info on it there. Having done one, I do believe a day would do it if everything is there waiting.

all I know is that the 1.9 tdi with the vp37 pump has larger plungers on the auto vs the manuel but like everybody said they don't last. I would personally go with a manual and do a eavry mod on it (google it) it free horspower... it's basically tapping a wire on the pump like on a vp44 but you hook it up on a switch and control it when you want it... if you go this route I would use a nitrous switch on the throttle pedal so it only engages when you go WOT. hope this helps

I've had an 01 with the auto and it held up great for me.I dunno.I think driving style has alot to do with everything. Maintenance plays a big part as well

My car had 165k on the clock when the tranny went, never had a timing belt done, fluid in the tranny changed, pretty much no preventive work of any kind.
