2005 f250 hydroboost

Getting ready to start a 2005 f250/12 valve and had a question on the hydroboost. Can you just use a gear hydraulic pump for the ps and hydroboost? And use the ford resivoir? The engine I bought is out of a started swap and the guy was going to use a freight liner jus pump.

was a member on here Tom Colesanti that used a medium gear pump with the Ford hydroboost it appears it needed to be modified to work.

14k miles so for on my gear pump conversion with no mods, bolted it on, adapted the line fittings and connected it to a remote reservoir.
