I'm not sure if this is extreme engine tech or not so please move to the proper sub forum if necessary.

I have been pondering putting valve springs in an 03 commonrail.I've looked at Hamilton, enterprise etc..I know a dual spring controls a valve better than a single, and that's where this question is coming from..I've been looking at different valve springs from comp and Manley..

Found a comp 26123 I think would work as a single and also found a Manley 22110 that I think would work as a double spring..I don't remember which app the comp spring comes from but the Manley spring comes from an h22 Honda application..but seat pressure at the 1.38 installed height would be about 99lbs if memory serves me correct and over the nose with a .320 lift cam would be about 188 I think.which is pretty close to specs of the Hamilton 103# springs..
Does anyone see a problem with these springs? I found 2 threads here that mention the springs but that's where it ended..
Retainers would be the next concern since the Manley springs only have a titanium retainer option.I believe the comp 778 retainer would work but again not 100%.

Let me know what yall think..here's the links I'm referencing.

Thanks

Richard
