466?

I have a 706 rearend with dt 466 engine...as of now engine is naturally apirated and has naturally aspirated pistons in it...As I have been told by some that there is a difference? looking to turbocharge engine and go for a hot farm class with 466 c.i. limit...any information on a good start to help point in the right direction with the engine would be appreciated
 
I don't know alot but heres what I do know. If your looking for stock type pistons for the turboed motors here is a site that sells them.

If your looking for more performance pistons here are a few places to call and check and they will be pricer of course. I haven't bought from either but I plan on giving them a call when I start my build (i'm doing a DT360).

lookin to go more on the performance side of things...the cylinder head has been ported and polished on tha tractor but dont know if there is a difference betweeen porting a head with a turbo as oppose to one without?
 
I know that I have heard people say not to use N/A heads such as a IH 986 head that it doesn't respond good when a turbo is installed. hypermax is also a good place to talk to about high hp IH's they told me it would cost about 10-15K to get a 1000hp out of a 466. New to tractor pulling

New to tractor pulling and first post at Competition Diesel

Bought a 1466, pulled engine down, having cyl head and cam worked on here in local shop, decided to go to a 466 crank, We would like to stay in the farm stock class but dont think it will pass inspection due to the A pump on the tractor. have gone through the Ta and installed a HY-Cap heavy duty puller TA.
Can we run this 466 @ 3500 RPMs??

I am pondering my turbo and pump needs? I see you guys talk about 3LM turbos. Would like some advice on this tractor. We have some hot JDs pulling up here and would like to give them a run for their $$$

After taking the head off of engine it does have domed pistons as wanted for a turbo charged engine I take it? With the head being port and polished and the pistons having valve reliefs cut in them I assume the cam has been cut? Just tryin to figure out where to go with engine from this point...any info will be helpful...thanks
