Does anyone know the thread and drill size for the nss adapter so i can bore this 47re case to accept the 48re neutral safety switch?

I guess i may try tapping a 1/2npt into something and see how it threads... unless someone else chimes in and knows.

Just go buy a pipe fitting. I am 99% sure it is just an NPT, as I built a complete 48RE(case and all) put it in a 1997, I just changed the VB and put in the bushing for the neutral safety switch. I would be cautious about drilling into the case, it is a weird angle and I am guessing the new PRNDL switch is pretty particular how it interfaces with the rooster comb on the VB.

You should really drill it with a jig otherwise the case is ruined.

1/2npt is too small, i dont have a 3/4 npt on hand but just from od measurement 3/4npt looks to be too big.

Found a post on an older forum, 3/4 npt is the correct size. Thanks zstroken.
