I looked at this before on my cousins truck. His kd cable pulled where as the 1gen pushes. The end on both cables looked the same, so I'm sure that some way a firstgen throttle linkage would work, slightly modified even. And after you did that look at how the cable sheath is fix mounted to the truck. Can the braket work on your truck? If so find one. Or modify one to work. Without see both side by side I'm sure it can be a little unnerving.
Mount it on the opposite side of original mounting location. Or you can build a bell crank assy with the ratio you want and incorporate a breakover lever.
Ran a throttle rod from the other side of linkage, over pump, and connected to tv cable with new bracket. Everything shifts fine. I do feel a little pedal vibration the closer to the floor i get, figure it's some kind of feedback from the bracket.
