I currently have a 2007 F250 with a 12v and a 5r110 with PCS and I am getting ready to swap the 5R110 for a 4r100. Can the PCS utilize both TPS and MAP or is just the TPS still the way to go.

The controller is capable of using either TPS or MAP for shift points, line pressure or lockup. Unfortunately it cannot use both signals with rpm to calculate inferred torque as the stock system does.

I’ve always used TPS because it is more conservative in regard to making the trans ready for higher power as soon as the driver demands it. When using MAP there could be a little longer delay for the changes needed to handle the higher power. Downshifts and unlocks could be a bit trickier to tune as well.

Have you done this yet?Just checking for feedback, fixing to make the same swap.
