I’m tossing the idea around or going common rail and using a keating gear housing! But the ones that have done it or know how about going about it what do u use for a 2nd gen truck?

Main concern is ac bracket! And like to use 2nd gen alternator.

I have done this using the stock 12v case, aftermarket case and common rail swap. I’d say they all have their advantages.

-stock case; cheap and after the work of drilling and tapping a few holes, grinding a boss, and addressing the oil pan you then have an effective job that didn’t break the bank.

-aftermarket case; bolt on option but expensive. It does make the room between pump and head much easier to work.

Common rail; best option IMO for a hot daily driver or usable truck.
