6 speed pops out of gear

My truck started popping itself out of gear the other day. It only happens in 4th gear over 2,000 rpm when you get into the throttle. I haven't drained it yet, it's been raining for a week straight but, I will do it as soon as the rain stops. I have a bad feeling that the tranny needs to be opened up and I am just wondering what you guys think it might be. Syncro maybe?
 
My money is on a bad synchro. I've had multiple different transmissions do it and it was always a synchro. $.02
 
The synchro slows the gear down to allow it to engauge. But the teeth on the gear or the hub usually are rounded off.
