92' cummins in a 93' one ton chevy

If you have any ideas, info, or anything really, that would help with the build, It is a 93' chevy with a 6.5 in it, I found a 92' cummins to put in it, and the real question is, can I use the 4l80e tranny that is in my truck now? Anything at all to do with the conversion will help, Thanks.

2wd or 4wd ? You can use the 480le. You would do good to find motor mounts and trans adapter from a bread truck it will put the motor at a very slight list I think 15 degrees.This is helpful in a 4wd . It is cheaper than buying an aftermarket adapter . We used the dodge trans (47rh)and made our mounts (most of the kits set the engine too high in a 2wd) Rich
