Acert C15 475hp Injector & Turbo Question

Why not go all out and pull the injectors and chargers from a C18. I know they are common in the MT865 and from my experience a damn strong powerplant.
Because 59's are already way too big for a road truck, unless you like smokey piston burners or babysitting gauges.:hehe:

58's are about as big as you can go and still work it. There's a few C18's in road trucks around here but if there is any real benefit other than bragging rights is yet to be seen. :rockwoot:

Who doesn't like bragging rights. I see your point with the injector sizing issue. Would the 58's be enough to spool the 18's chargers and keep it cool?

Too many variations of the C18 to make that call. Some are single turbo, some are compounds and some are true twins . Of the two I know about in trucks one is running stock C15 compounds and the other has custom chargers. Here is some diesel porn eye candy!

So is the C-18 dimensionally the same as the C-15/16? Or is it bigger?

Same block, same head. Only difference is the cyl packs and crank besides the obvious tuning and injectors.

The one in the pic also has a giant plug for a coolant drain in the drivers side of the block but I think that's just for industrial applications. Industrial C15's probably have the same plug.
