Due to availability and my tight ass I've started using alot of parts from ag application engines... some are better than the automotive apps. and on others I'm wondering.
Ag timing covers have a full lip aroung the outside on them and aren't as prone to leaking as the automotive covers... also parts from CNH or Agco have been cheaper than Napa and I've been getting genuine Cummins parts.
We pulled a harmonic balancer off a cummins in a tractor and it looked alot like the one in my truck. My question is did cummins use a different balancer in ag ablications that automotive apps.? My bet is yes due to the RPM difference but none of us on the farm had any idea.
Anybody have any thoughts?
