Any Hummer Cummins swap guys in here?

I have a 1990 M998 Military hummer with a junk 6.2L that I'm currently pulling out. I have a 1996 215hp P-Pumped 12v sitting on an engine stand pulled from one of my old rebuilt title trucks I parted out. Just picked up a 1994 47RH transmission. And I'm on the look out for a NP241 DLD t case.

I know the swap has been done but all I can find online are old threads with less than stellar pics or missing pics.

I need ideas on motor mounts, transmission mounts, and spacing to get everything to work.:lolly:


End goal is a somewhat stock looking, light armor slant back with slightly larger tires, a motor that makes twice the power as a stock unit, and an overdrive trans.
 
send a PM to supersonic on here, I think he is working on a 12 valve into a Hummer conversion.
 
Maybe you can make it do more than 45. LOL good luck.

And make a thread so we can see!
 
Yeah I hope it will safely cruise at 65mph when done. Ha

I always thought the two door pickup versions were bad ass. Good luck with the swap.
 
Sweet! Are you going to be keeping the CTIS too? That's probably my favorite part of those.

Any idea on how much torque those CVs and hubs can handle?

Mil versions to my knowledge don't have the CTIS. Which is fine with me, if its anything like the m35a3s it rarely ever works. The stock shafts are on the weak side but upgrading to the 12k shafts is pretty easy. From the looks of it the geared hubs are extremely strong.

I've sent a few messages for motor mounts but have heard nothing. I have found them and big dog offroad, they sell kits for the DIY type. But OMG the prices are well past my poor white boy funds. Big dog wants 20g for the DIY kit, that's without motor, trans, tcase. No thanks I'll do it myself. :lolly:
