auto tranny question

not an auto tranny guy, but i ended up with a 94 f350 and the tranny doesnt do anything. I 've looked and found some but some say gas and others say diesel. My question is there a difference between the two and if so what is exactly the difference. thanks for any info

The tranny (an E4OD) is specific to the diesel in it's bellhousing and in its computer controller. Sorry, you need a IDI diesel E4OD only.
