bearing clearances on big hp builds

mine are .002 to .0025. Always been told to set up a big HP motor loose.

Edit, not that that's really that loose, but I dont think I would have been concerned with .003

i was around. 003 but pretty sure i got a rod bearing last night so just wanted to check and make sure i was correct in my setup...

What are you guys doing for moderate hp with the potential for some DD

Bottom end stuff, just make sure its within Cummins specs. Its the piston to wall clearance and ring end gap that'll make the difference on a daily driver truck.

I was told bearings set right at max spec or maybe 1 thou out. Piston to wall and end gap 1 thou out of spec.
