Check Engine light is on

My check engine light is on. I ran the obdII on it and the code was INTAKE AIR HEATER CIRCUIT A MALFUNCTION. What would cause that problem. The only thing I can think is the IAT sensor. I haven't done anything performance wise to the truck other than a k&n air filter. Any experienced help would be great.

Not sure but the K&N filters have been accused of fouling MAF sensors with their oil.
 
Possibly a bad heater element or blown fuse. The ECM looks for current draw from them below certain temps.
