cruise control how to?

i have 95 diesel. does anyone know, how i can add cruise control? i tried to get a kit from rastra cruse control company. but they say, the only way it will work is if my truck has a throttle cable. well it dont. i beleive it is drive by wire. any help would be nice. it is vin letter j. automatic ,4.10 gears, and 4x4.thank you much.

It is possible to add it in, but you have to add in the switch then run thewiring over to the ECM and hook it in there. I know that a few have done it over at thetruckstop.us .

for anyone with a 95 chevy pickup with the 6.5 engine. if you want cruise just put a turn signal switch with cruise and a fuse. and you will have cruise. thats it. i did it. it works good. it might work on other years. mine is a 95. thanks for your interest.
