Hello to all,
Diesel enthusiast, Been in the pulling circuit for 10 years with 2 sons.
Project truck has been a 2001 dodge p-pumped setup in 800hp range. Wish to someday hit the 1000hp mark. Truck set up for 2.5 class but switch to open class on occasion. Most of the work done as family.
 
Hi, I have a project that I have been working on and not getting much success. I have install the TFOD-3 shift kit in our 2001 with a 47RE tranny and it is not working. Got 3rd gear and lockup but tranny will not shift into 1st or 2nd. Seems to be binding or wrong clutches or band applied when in lower 2 gears. Followed instructions as stated and even remove valve body over 10 times to redo and recheck. Only thing I can think of is that the tranny was rebuilt by another shop before I started rebuilding our own and it may be to bastardized. Could this be the issue?
