im building a dt466 motor for farm class im in need of help for the right choice in a turbo :ft:

I know the older mechanical ones used an Airesaerch turbo. Not sure on the specs of them but I know there nothing to big.

hot farm guys around here run box stock 2.5'' S300s, give that a try. unless you are limited to a "factory" turbo.

Depending on what rules are and stuff, a 2.5" would be a giant step up from stock.

What are class rules and what do you plan to do to the engine/pump?

3lm or S2E

S300 would be a good choice pending on what you are allowed to run

thanks to all

im grateful for all responses im looking into all options I also heard about a holset hx50 turbo im checking that out too any opinions on that would be appreciated
the motor is all stock and the rotary pump is turned way up and governor springs are changed stock injectors the farms stock rules in northeast Wisconsin are really vague

You have a few options, a bigger pump and injectors is pretty much necessary.

We have a farm tractor that we also have a dt466 in and we decided to jump up a class and have many left over parts we did run a 3LM on it. The turbo worked fine if you stayed on top of it. If you wanted lug it is not the turbo you want! What are the rules for your class sure would like to help you out
