Well I picked up a fully built 727 trans for a really good price, so untill I can get the money to build a 47rh im going to be running this in my drag truck. The question I have is what size slicks are you guys running and what gear ratio so you dont run out of gear at the end of the track in the 1/4mile?
Truck is a 94sb 12v with 3:55 rear end. Thanks.

Be interesting to see how a non lockup works with a big turbo.

nothing for now, I'll eventually build a 47rh but cant swing it right now so i'll be running the 727 this year.

You will run out in the 1/8 or just after.

Unless you can spin 6k rpms...

If you can find them, a Dana 71 or 70U (can't remember) that has a 3.07 rear might help. Years are 89-early 91 NON IC Cummins...

I was going to run a set of 33x10.5W's on my 89 with the 3.07 rear gear, and it still would have only been good to c.120mph.

Well I guess it looks like i might just be running the 8th mile this year...

I think Bruce, Stock600's brother in law, was running a 518 or a 727 in his Chevy. I'll have to ask Ryan because I can't remember.

My hx55 turbo likes the non lockup 400 trans in mine. I think it will like drugs even more.

I do have some drugs going on the truck, so we will see how it does i guess!

You will be gear bound depending on how tall a tire you can run in the rear.

won't the od from a 48 re bolt right on the back ? thought the 727 was the front section.
