I have a block at the machine shop right now getting line bored for 7 cam bearings. I was wondering what everyone was using for a plug in the back of the block once the bore is cut for a bearing?

Are you talking about the one that covers the back of the cam? You should not be removing enough material to affect it.

Yes i was wondering about the plug in the rear of the block. So you would just leave a step in the back of the journal for the factory plug sit in?

When removing the proper about for cam bushings there is still a ledge In the block for you to install the plug
