Anybody know how to work on first gen gauge clusters. The miles on mine quit rolling over. I took it apart to check the gears and they were not stripped. Would even buy a new one but cant find them anywhere on the web.
 
There is a source for new odometer gears I can't remember the site off the top of my head, I will try and find it. Is your speedometer working? I have seen the copper strips on the back of the cluster get rubbed through and make certain functions of the gauges not work.
 
thanks for the link. But i think the wiring in the back is bad. Is there anywhere you can just buy a whole new replacement unit ?
 
simple swap for the gears in the cluster and buying a used cluster would be the best bet unless a dealer has a nos one. Dominic
